Apple Plans to Offer iPhone on Verizon
By: Miguel Helft

This article is about how Apple plans to merge with Verizon in order to better compete with the Android company. People who have no access to the IPhone because it is not a part of their phone company are buying the Android phone instead, as the next best thing. For this reason, the Android is starting to outsell the IPhone. Apple plans to sell their Verizon version of the IPhone 4 early next year, which will hopefully bring up their sells.

This article uses a why lead. It starts off talking about why Apple plans on offering their IPhone to the Verizon company. I think the headline of the story is good. It grabbed my attention so I know it would get the attention of people who actually do have Apple products unlike my self. The sources of the story are people who work for the company and people who work close with the Apple company. Although these sources are good, I think they could have included more people who work for Apple, and some people who worked for Verizon. these sources would have been able to provide more information about the company merge. I also think the article should have included quotes from the people who are on Verizon, so we could see how they finally feel to have access to the popular IPhone. This article uses the news determinate of human interest. it is about a IPhone, which is very popular to people who are interested in technology.

I chose to write about this article because the headline caught my attention. I also thought a lot of people who have Verizon would be interested in knowing this. I also wanted to write about something new and less serious.

  1. I agree with Latia. This article is very interesting; so many people in the country can't have the IPhone because they don't have AT&T but now a whole new market of people can have it because it's being offered by a new wireless carrier. The IPhone going to Verizon can also be a stepping stone to open up doors for the IPhone to be provided through other wireless carrier. Overall good job!

  2. There is always competition between phone companies it's good that Apple is expanding their horizon by joining Verizon. Now Verizon customers will have more optionsand Apple will have more clients. It is a smart choice because at this point noone knows which way the economy will go, so investments have to be made hoping that they will work.
