Follow up questions from 1st draft of ESL students in LACJ

Ms. Moody

  1. For how many years have you been working as an ESL teacher?
  2. What is the most difficult part of your job?
  3. Do ESL students behave differently than other students?

ESL students

  1. What do you like the most about living in NYC?
  2. How different is LACJ from your schools in your country?
  3. How are the people different here and over there?
  4. Have you visited your country after you came?
  5. What subjects do you mostly have difficulties with?
  6. Did you have an option when coming here? Do you rgret it?
  7. Did NYC turn out to be how you expected it to be?

Article 2
Students can't use the microwaves in school

Students
  1. Why do you bring food from outside?
  2. Do you pay for school lunch? Is this why you bring food from outside?
  3. What kind of food do you bring, frozen food, sandwiches, home cooked food?

Mr. Bonilla:

  1. About how many students daily ask to use your microwave?
  2. Do you have a problem with them using it?
  3. How do you feel about students not being able to use microwaves in the 4th floor?

  1. Why are you planning on stopping the students use of school microwaves?
  2. Is it disrupting class time, allthough they use them during lunch?
  3. What is another option for students who don't like school lunch and bring in food, if they can't use the microwaves?
  4. Have there been complaints from administration or students about this?
